When I was growing up, my parents never sat me down to teach me about money, budgeting, frugality or even how to cook really. Eventually, a lifetime of bad habits caught up with me and I was financially unstable until I found this sub about 3 years ago. So thank you! However, my question is how & when do I teach my children how to operate a responsible life? I don't want them to be where I was just a few short years ago. My oldest boy is 7 years old. He doesn't quite understand money yet but he also never asks for new toys or anything really so that's a start.
