When I got my first full-time job out of college, I knew that I needed an emergency fund. I opened up a HYSA with Ally, and would deposit money here and there to it. I recently was terminated from my old position, leaving me to hunt for jobs. Instead of feeling worried about how I'm going to survive, I was left in a strong position with roughly five months of living expenses. This led me to apply for a position to Teach English Abroad, something I've wanted to do for quite some time.
Thank you to everyone here at PF, through your stories and advice, I'm able to do something I never thought possible. I have my first interview next week, and hopefully another soon after. You guys are the best!
