Hello r/DIY - I have a 20ft x 24ft detached garage and I'm seeking some advice on getting some more use out of it. Here are some picturesMy fiance and I plan on using the garage primarily as a home gym and a place to host parties. Unfortunately, this is really on possible when the weather is nice since we live in Southern Ontario. I see two major steps which I'd appreciate some feedback on:Repair of the concrete floor. Our house was built in the mid 50s, and I would guess the garage was built not long after. The floor is fairly level, but I'd like to repair the cracks. Given the levelness of the floor, I can't imagine there is major heaving. What kind of approach/product do you recommend to patch these cracks? And also, if possible, is there a topping/finishing product I can use across the entire floor surface to get a relatively consistent color? The cracks shown in the picture are most severe. There are probably about 5-6 like the on shown in the 4th picture in total.I'd like to use the garage in the winter more, so I was thinking of insulating the walls/ceiling. What are your recommendations on materials? My fear is ultimately getting damp/moldy walls. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2Efg3pV
