My house has about 1000ft2 of continuous hardwood flooring. It definitely needs help but I'm torn between refinishing or replacing it with some of that new stuff. I hate the thought if pulling out real hardwood but I feel like it's in pretty bad shape. The boards are 2" wide.http://ift.tt/2DGIMnp gaps and deep stains are my biggest concerns. Most of the floor had carpet at one point so there are nail holes around the perimeter. There are also a few squeaky areas that I'll need to fix.I like darker floors so I'm open to staining if some of the darker patches won't sand out. The only thing I don't like is the yellow color you sometimes get.I should add I'm going to have all of the trim replaced when I work on the floors.Any thoughts on refinishing vs replacing or some of the problems I might run into?
