It was about -10 last night, and my 150 year old home isn't well insulated. This morning, there was no water running to the bathroom, so I applied a bit of hair dryer to the pipes, and after a few minutes, things were back to normal in the sink and toilet, but nothing was coming from the tub.My tub had been dripping for a few days, but during this bomb cyclone thing, I let it be, hoping that a slight trickle would limit possible freezing. Since I could feel the hot pipe leading to the tub with no water, hot or cold, coming out the tap, I thought the problem had to be something other than frozen pipes.I pulled out the cartridge (Moen 1225), and an O ring was busted, so I replaced the cartridge. But that didn't fix it.Now, if I turn on only hot water, it starts trickling and builds up to nearly full pressure in a minute or so. But if I move it at all toward cold, the water stops entirely. If I turn on the water on cold, nothing comes out. What could be happening here, and how can I fix it? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2mbMJX5
