I had to get my physical checkup done due to one of the requirements by USCIS for US Green Card application. USCIS has their "approved" doctors where I can have checkup and they have to fill out a form. I called around few doctors and they all were around $200 and no one accepted insurance for USCIS specific insurance.
I picked one doctor who told me $200 for checkup and if I need any vaccine, they would charge me extra which can be claimed through insurance. I went to doctors and since I had all the vaccine already taken, I did not need any additional work.
They have charged me $200 on my personal credit card and they also charged my insurance company $250. When I asked why they charged twice, they said $200 that I paid through my personal credit card was just to sign the USCIS document and $250 was for health checkup.
I feel like they fooled me and double dipped both me and insurance company. They did not tell me about double charge up front, they only said $200. Even though I did not pay more than $200 out of pocket, I feel like they cheated me and I dont want them to get more money.
Is there any way I can fight this and do the right thing?
