Hi r/DIY! Long time lurker, first time poster. My grandmother used to own an old fashioned ice cream parlor and upon selling it kept one of the table sets from it. She has lived in the same house for many years and is moving to an assisted living apartment. Over the weekend we were helping her move some things, including the above mentioned table and chair set, and the table top broke off. It looked like whatever was used to adhere it was no longer doing the trick. Since it was glass it shattered so we were unable to just put it back on. I found someone on Etsy who makes custom wooden table tops and my Grandma likes them, but if I order one we will be responsible for putting it on and I’m not really sure what would be used to adhere wood to an iron base. Here is what the table looks like. That’s not the exact one, as hers has four feet instead of three, but it is very similar. The old table top also looked like that before we broke it 😟Thank you in advance for any help! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2zL1Z1V
