I'm using a throwaway for this, some co workers know my reddit username and I know I would be judged for this.
So yea, I'm 30, I've been working retail for the last 6 years and am currently going to school. Fortunately I do not have any student debt to pay off, but now that I have all this money I absolutely do not want to waste it.
I've already set up some basic things. I've set up a vanguard account, but all the assets are invested the way they were by the trustees before I claimed the funds.
At the risk of asking a really big question what should I be doing/not doing with this? I've looked over my assets in Vanguard but it's like reading a foreign language.
Can someone give me an ELi5 I guess?
