My therapist has suggested I upgrade my lifestyle; up to this point I have, as a friend put it, 'run my life like an efficiency apartment'. Brutal and minimalist.
So I'm looking to add things in where I can; not ready for full blown men's fashion yet.
I'm going to buy a Steelcase think chair. We have them at work, and I like it. I'd like to find a nice computer desk to go with it; something with a little class, but durable as hell. I've seen several posts on here about using steel filing cabinets and a solid wood top, that's easy, though I'm not sure where to get the top. Ikea was mentioned a lot, but the 1/8" wood veneer over MDF makes me leery.
I'm debating a pair of boots. I see Clarks mentioned a lot here, as well as Redwing Iron ranger or 1000 mile. Anyone have a preference? This'll be a casual-dress boot, and some light walking. I'll end up needing some dance or similar shoes later too, but I'm easing in.
Also suggested I buy a watch. I know fuckall about watches aside from they're expensive. I don't know that I want a Rolex or something truly top-tier, but a nice solid presentable one that looks better than the 3$ Casio at the corner store?
