I'm laying loft panels and putting down insulation in 1900s house for storage only. I'm trying to work out what to do with the trusses. Do I need to cut the panels to go around trusses, or can I cut the trusses down in size and then attach them back onto panels once they are laid? How important, structurally are the trusses?
