Hi all. Fiance and I just bought our first house and when I went to replace all the door locks, I noticed that one of our doors seemed to be slightly misaligned in that the lock catches the very bottom part of the frame where the bolt slides in, causing the lock to not be a smooth transition. Now, if I push up on the door handle slightly, the door aligns perfectly and the locking is smooth as butter. But I have never fixed this type of issue before. How would I go about fixing that? Would I need to completely remove the door and install new hinges? Do I just need to tighten some hinges? Maybe just use some sandpaper and sand down the part of the frame where the lock is catching? Thanks for any advise! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2AiwHAI
