Hello again - looking for advice on how much floor prep I need to do to install hardwoods. Most of the space is straight particle board subfloor, but where we took tile out, the felt paper isn’t coming up easily.How much work should I do to create a totally level surface?Also, I’m putting new substrate down where the footer of an old wall was (pics 2 & 3), so there will be a little gap between the old and new subfloor.
