I am a fresh grad who just started working. I have applied for a Discover IT card back in my junior year to establish my credit history. I've been very punctual in paying my credit and my credit score has grown steadily from 748 to 778 (Last month most recent FICO score). But, when I checked my score on my Discover app this morning, my score dropped to 718. The reason for it is because the age of account is low. My account is around 1 year and a few months old. Why is account age suddenly an issue? My credit score has been increasing and if account age is an issue, my credit score shouldn't be this high at the beginning.

But, I did apply for a new CC (Chase Freedom) and a car loan (approved). The inquiries is listed on my app but Discover does not categorize that as an issue. Do you think my credit score drop is due to these 2 inquiries?

TL;DR: FICO credit score dropped drastically, have applied for a new CC and car loan, but Discover thinks account age is the issue
