Hi all.
I’ve been on this sub for ages and i always saw people talking about emergency funds. I was employed in a decent job, married, house and kids, all good. I ignored it all and thought I didn’t need one.
Fast forward to today, I’ve been unemployed for 3 months that has destroyed my credit cards, my wife just told me she’s leaving me and I need to find somewhere to live and I’m waiting on tests to see if I have lung cancer which I didn’t tell her about before so now can’t tell her now.
Everyone reading this, please learn from my mistake , listen to the personal finance gods and set up that emergency fund. You simply have no idea what’s going to happen in 3 months.
