So, we just moved into a new house, and I decided to switch out the toilet seats. First one went fine, but on the second one, when trying to remove the existing seat I have run into an incredibly frustrating issue. The one sta-tite bolt just refuses to budge... I have tried unscrewing the bolt from the top (both by hand and with a power tool), using a socket wrench (and regular wrench) to try to loosen the bolt underneath. All with zero success. I can't get it to budge at all. Now, the plastic bolt is getting very rounded and can't be gripped by a wrench anymore, and the bolt head is getting pretty stripped as well. I finally decided to just destroy the plastic bolt underneath so I can at least get it off, and I've even been unsuccessful at that. I tried drilling into it, and was able to put a decent hole in it, but no cracking... The other difficulty is the toilet is up very close against the wall, so I have to do this blind. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated... I'm about to take a hammer to the whole toilet.... via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2jnQtGh
