I have one card (BoA Cash Rewards) at the moment with 8 months of credit history and a credit score of 728 w/ TransUnion and 741 with Equifax. The 728 is due to a CLI I mistakenly requested when I didn't know much about credit. I'm a 2nd year in college and want to establish a good credit history fast and eventually get a Chase Sapphire. I've never had a late payment and have paid my balance off in full every month.
When is a good time to apply for a second credit card and when/how will I know if I'm in decent standing for a higher level card like the Sapphire? Thanks in advance guys.
