Pretty much the title. I have a small list of items I'd like to buy. I realize "buy it for life" doesn't necessarily apply to electronics in the traditional sense, but since I have no intentions of becoming a professional, I'm fine with my specs getting less and less relatively good by the year. So, what I'm looking for:
1 - Gaming laptop. Gift for my brother. I want something fairly durable, lasts 5+ years, and can play the following games: Hotline Miami, Hotline Miami 2, Red Dead Redemption, GTA IV & V, and Mother Russia Bleeds. Doesn't have to be the latest and greatest, but it should comfortably play those games at their max settings smoothly.
2 - Outdoors tablet. This one is for me. Preferably Android, I'd like something I can take with me for reading an entire library while listening to a podcast before going to sleep. Waterproof/generally rugged, usb-compatible, keyboard-compatible. Some kind of solid protective case as well I suppose, as I'd like to just be able to throw it in my pack and not worry about it.
3 - Bluetooth earbuds. Something so I can listen to my podcast while rucking with the tablet in the pack. Also preferably something I don't need to worry about being rain-kissed. If there's a better range (talking distance here) with higher quality buds, being able to be about 10m away from the tablet and still have it working seamlessly would be cool but not necessary.
Thanks for being so patient with me, and I look forward to all your suggestions. I'm in Canada if that makes any difference.
