My mom's friend is going out of town and can't leave his wife and son alone. His wife has dementia and although it isn't horrible yet, he doesn't trust that she can handle being alone with their son. Their son is 9 years old.
Apparently, I don't have to cook or clean but she can't drive anywhere. I'd have to pick up their son from school. He takes the bus to school so I don't have to worry about that.
I currently am unemployed and not in school so I have the time to do it.
By my calculations.. a full time minimum wage job in my area will pay me around $900 for 14 days.
He would like for me to live in his house for 14 days and keep an eye on them.
If he paid me minimum wage, it would come out to $2,688. But I think that's too much to ask for.
What do you think is a reasonable amount?
