We recently purchased a house built in the 50s. Has one of those awesome concrete laundry sinks in the basement big enough for two Great Danes. Underneath it is has a drain pipe going to another drain pipe flush with the floor. I had my dad who’s a plumber come over and figure out what it’s deal is and he pulled out nine or ten cat toys and rubber balls. The previous owners said that there is a grate somewhere in the pipe but it has to be extremely far down. I’m just concerned for what else could be in the drain that’s causing it to have standing water. I’m guessing it’s probably more toys stuck in there. Is there a way I might be able to get them out? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2yq7YLg
