So I was working for a company that broke a ton of labor laws (overtime pay, things like that) and put everyone who wasn't part of the family down as independent contractors but the DOL ruled most of us as miss classified employees.
Since they've taken literally no taxes out of our checks and they have a history of reporting that they paid employees more than they actually did, I have no idea how to handle next year's taxes. I've heard everything from me being responsible to them having to deal with the taxes since they should have been paying them in the first place.
I just need to know how much fear I should be running into 2018 with because they also haven't paid me (or many other people) thousands of dollars that could be used to pay our taxes.
Any advice or insight would be awesome.
