I know this is weird, but hear me out. I am building a motorized bicycle and I am currently working on the lighting, And I want to use 5v usb battery packs for simplicity. But, all automotive lights are 12v, including the one I want to use: http://ift.tt/2f4UPxa originally planned on just rewiring it so that I could use 5v with it, but that showed to be too complicated because of how its wired. Basically I would have to rewire the whole entire light onto a new pcb. So... I was looking into a voltage step-up converter to take the 5v at 2amps and switch it into 12v to run the lights.
