I do the very frivolous thing of buying shoes when I need then for the cheapest price available. I have literally bought a pair of shoes and worn through them in a month. Holes in the sole. I live in Europe and I would like to buy a pair of shoes that last. Over on /r/buyitforlife there are great suggestions on the types of shoes and boots that I would like but I live in Europe and the cost of buying such shoes is prohibitive. A pair of Redwings, for example, has a huge markup. Should I just wait until I get to the States?
