I have a Fidelity account with $4k and would like to day trade with short selling. I am 19 years old with no income as I go to school and only have a job during the summer. My dad is wealthy (his Fidelity account has ~$1 mil). I applied for a margin account but am curious if I am going to be deemed eligible for one. Otherwise I would like to find another service that allows short-selling if that is possible.
