I was looking to get a contact exam done today and found out my insurance does not cover the "contact fitting fee". Which according to places like Target Optical and Lenscrafters can cost anywhere from $40 (Target) - $60 (Lenscrafters).
I just switched insurance to Eyemed Vision, where I was previously with Davis Vision insurance and used Costco and did not think twice about this fee.
Anyway, I called Americas Best today to inquire about their Contact Exams and they had no idea what I was referring to when I mentioned, "Contact Fitting Fee". I actually called two different locations just to be sure.
So does anyone know if Americas Best charges this fee? If not I can think of a few better ideas on how to spend that $40 ha
