Hey guys!

So as the title suggests.. I have not payed 1 single payment into my student loans (about 12,000 worth)

A little back story... I went to school for music and right out of college I became a touring musician. I never made any money at it but was my passion and i did it for years traveling around the US.. I struggled to feed myself during this time so paying debt was not even on my radar

I got diagnosed with cancer and that put an end to the traveling.. Dealt with the cancer (I'm cured now) and for years after that I rented apartment after apartment with bouts of having to live in my car between places

I had a pretty good understanding of technology so I decided to dive in and 'fake it till i make it' and I landed a job with a very big tech company and they offered great on the job training..

now i just recently got a job another great tech company (a bit of a lateral move but with more upward mobility)

aannnyywayyyy I feel like im finally starting to get on my feet..im in a stable apartment with my GF after moving a total of 7 times and im ready to tackle this financial mess that im in.

Heres the breakdown about $12,000 in Student loans. A maxed out $5000 CC that im making minimum payments on ($150 a month) a $500 CC that i use for gas and pay off at the end of the month

expenses $900 Rent $300 a month for car insurance (on a 97 pickup lol) $250 for a motorcycle (i got this because i was working in the city and it was the cheaper way to travel because car insurance was so high but my new job needed me to get a car too) $150 CC payment $100 Phone $40 internet

I feel stuck in a cycle where my credit is shot so all my interest and rates are high and thats preventing me from paying everything down to make my credit better

thanks for reading and thanks in advance for the advice

EDIT: income is 50k salary

I take in about 3000 a month after taxes

EDIT2 sorry if I left details out.. I think it's clear that my knowledge in dealing with finances is a bit limited
