I live in the Denver Metro area and I just finished framing, electrical, plumbing and HVAC in my basement and i'm ready to have drywall installed. I heard a lot of horror stories about doing it yourself so it kind of turned me off to hanging it. It's about 1500 square feet and i calculated about 100-110 sheets of 4x8.I started looking around to get someone to hang/finish. I couldn't get a lot of bids because it seemed like a lot of of drywall professionals were booked up and couldn't start for several months. I was given a contact by a family member and three guys showed up to bid it out. Their quote came back at $5750 for all the material, hanging, finishing (sanding, taping, etc) and texture. And they would take all the scrap and trash. This seemed like a really good deal to me but since i couldn't get any other quotes i just wanted to see if anyone had some insight into what this would regularly cost. Since the other 5-6 places i called couldn't even make it over i feel like i need to jump on this ASAP. But i really hate making uninformed decisions. Got a lot of good information off r/DIY when i hired out the electrical part of this project so i thought i would see what opinions were on this. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2xc0pIt
