Hi Everyone, I'm currently at an impasse. We have 1.5 bathrooms. Each bathroom has their original tile from the 50's or 60's. I got a quote to replace it with luxury vinyl but they said I would have to demo the floor. They said this floor would have 1/2" of concrete underneath the tile. The main issue is that in one bathroom there is porcelain moulding. This wouldn't be too bad to break up and cover it with wood/composite moulding. The problem with the other bathroom is that this moulding meets tile on the wall that goes up about 4ft. If I break this moulding I risk breaking the tile above it and then I'm committed to completely replacing the drywall. I would just put vinyl over it but where the moulding begins it is rounded and running a bead of caulk on this transition would look bad.I thought about painting the floor with epoxy but I get very different opinions regarding that. Can I use a tile cutter attachment on the dremel to score these areas prior to breaking them up? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2hIn2h4
