(Wow, that was an inarticulate title) Hey! This is my first post here, hope I am not breaking any rules or hammering on something you guys discussed too many times. I have started playing with a laser cutter at the local makerspace and decided to write myself a simple program to generate test grids for testing new materials. This should simple be able to array a bunch of shapes (so far I added options for triangles, circles, squares or an M6 nut) with different colours and export as PDF. I can then use in the full spectrum software to test power and speed settings (to begin with) I was wondering first of all if you thing this is useful and a good idea at all. Maybe there are loads of similar free software around? And would there be a way to encode the Power and Speed settings straight in here (so I dont need to do it in Laser Engraver)? So far I have only coded the very basic stuff, doesn't look very inspired yet http://ift.tt/2ipisoa I look forwards to hearing your thought via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2g5PRn0
