I'm building a a motorized rotating platform for a person to stand on, so I'm thinking it needs to have a diameter of at least 24" and it should support at least 300 lbs to be safe. What motors would be recommended to power this platform, and what would be the best way to transfer the power from the motor to the platform? Would a belt drive be best, or would a direct drive work?
