Hello Reddit. I have a 48" opening where I am hanging double barn doors. Unfortunately the studs are not the standard 16" spacing, so I need to hang a header board which will be attached to the studs. Then, I can attach the barn door track onto that.My question is, what bolts/screws should I use to hang the header board? Would lag screws work? Or is that overkill and should I just go with a standard screw? Looks like I will have about 6 studs that I can hit for the 8' header board.
