Hello, first time poster, long time reader here!
I'm posting on behalf of my Grandmother because she's in need of some advice.
My brother is moving in with my Grandmother in a few weeks to save money while going to college because she lives very close to his college campus. As of right now, she gets cable through Comcast, paying 120 a month "Everything except HBO" (those are her words). She wants to be able to provide him with Internet and she's leaning towards just using Comcast because that's what she's familiar with. But I'm worried that they'll take advantage of her with pricing and contract deals. My brother will only be in the house for one semester because he'll be studying abroad during the Spring, so she absolutely does not need a two year contract.
I'm wondering if you guys have any recommendations regarding month to month Internet providers or even pointers about hot spot devices. She is located in the D.C. Metro area and our family uses AT&T as our cell service provider where we have unlimited data which is why I thought a hot spot device might be the best course of action. But again! Any advice would be wonderful.
