I think in consumer culture (especially amongst the college educated) its very common to "love" international travel. When I get together with old friends, everyone trades what country they're hitting this year.
I'm not sure but I just don't get. I'm pretty well traveled too (parents took me lots of places).
But as an adult, I find museums and sightseeing in general very boring. Lately, my travels have been let downs.
