I'm a 19 year old college student currently living in the San Francisco area looking for a new place to get some space away from my unstable family. I'd like to move away but living in this area is too costly to do so alone. I'm willing to move away and find a new job, if needed (though the closer the area is the better). I've struggled with mental issues for a while, exacerbated by my unstable relationship with my family, and feel that this would be beneficial for my overall wellbeing.
Some extra information that you can consider:

I'm a 19 year old girl so it would be nice if it was in a relatively safe area.

I'm very minimalistic and can get by with just one room and a bathroom. I can even share the apartment or house with others just as long as I have my own room.

I'm majoring in engineering and I absolutely want a college nearby that includes it and is ABET accredited.

I can transfer either to community college or a state university, as long as they're affordable and includes my major (Engineering).

I know moving can take time so I'll also definitely save money beforehand. It would be nice if someone can give me a price range to give me an idea of how much.

I can drive, bike, take the bus, and walk to school.
