So I got a new AC unit a few months ago and when the company came back for an inspection they found I was a few pounds short on refrigerant. The guy they sent out said it was either local kids huffing it to get high or a factory defect and they would have to replace a bunch of parts (for free it's still under warranty). I didn't speak with him because my wife was home and he didn't bother to show her where the kids would try to get in, or if it was leaking when he found it, but he said he had to tighten "a bolt".The very next day my wife found a loose bolt on our heat pump that was dripping steadily. I don't know if this is an indication of the kids or a defect, I have them coming back out to investigate soon.My question is, could I build something to cover the bolts on my heat pump so that you need to unlock a pad lock to get to the bolts without disrupting anything? (does it need the air flow/ ability to drip?)I have a picture of my lines from my heat pump and in one I put a red box around the bolt that my wife found loose.http://ift.tt/2tcuW4f via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2uvMLLa
