Currently a Mechanical Engineering Student working a part time job in hopes to save enough money to succesfully participate in stock trading. I have created a financial plan that allows me to shove roughly < $300 aside a week strictly for investment (lets say an initial balance of $500 with monthly additions of around $300, if that makes sense). I am one of those 21 year old - financially illiterate students who has zero prior experience in the world of trading and was hoping some of you experienced Buffet's could guide me in a slow starting yet positive path!

Things I need assistance on:

  • What would be the best broker to use? (I've read that with a low starting income like mine, popular brokers like SureTrader aren't the best since higher costs)

  • Books/Blogs that you would recommend to increase my knowledge on the subject. (Intelligent Investor is in the mail)

  • Anything that comes to mind that could help a newbie like myself in this intimidating new scene.

Best.
