Hey, this is my first post so if this isn't the right place or something let me know.
So, my mom turns 60 this year and her building closed down. Shes getting offered 20 weeks of severance, which she's taking, but after that she's not sure she'll be able to find a job.
She's worked as essentially the entire HR department at a Sam's Club for 26 years, which should mean she could get a job at a Sam's, but she was already working at the closest one, which was over an hour away from her home.
She's started taking some online excel classes, which is good, but I'm worried about her ability to find a place.
I am considering moving back near home to help them, but is there anyone here who has gotten a new job at that age, or knows something about that? I realize this question perhaps isn't quite as specific as it could be. I can amplify it later if needed.
