Hello all, first time poster.
I use several free credit monitoring sites that all use Vantage Score 3.0. For those, TransUnion and Equifax has very close scores.
However, Mint.com is pulling from Equifax and reporting my score as 50 points lower than the Vantage Score sites. I tried emailing them to find out how they calculate their score, and just kept getting irrelevant template answers back about calling the credit bureaus if I see errors on my report. I gave up after about 6 emails back and forth of them totally ignoring my actual questions.
Does anyone know why Mint is so off?
Side question - for those who have had your credit scores pulled for loans, etc, were the numbers close to the Vantage Score estimates?
I apologize if this has been asked a million times. Searching previous posts didn't come up with anything.
Edit: Discrepancy has existed at least six months Credit card utilization stays around 5% or less and then gets paid off monthly, nearly $100k available No missed payments or other derogatory changes
