I've been chronically disabled since i was born. I am 33 years old. My husband works full time (55 hours a week) but i am wanting to find a part time job. I have tried applying at a few stores in the local mall but when i end up mentioning my chronic lung disability and ask if i have a chair that i could sit down on behind the cash register they say no. I have applied to a few big box outlet stores like walmart where they have 'store greeters' and i am not feeling very hopeful that they will hire me. I feel like as soon as i mention that i have low energy level and can't stand for long hours then i worry that they won't hire me. Same with hotel jobs. i imagine i would need to do more than just sit and answer the phone.
Yes i used to be on disability but no longer qualify since my husband works full time.
I have signed up for a website or two that you can make money by doing surveys but that won't really make much at all. I've also considered selling some of my photography art. I really want to help my husband. He thinks i can do cashier work but i'm not sure stores other than walmart would let me sit down behind the cash register.
We have a small 1 bedroom apartment and 1 car.
