Hello, I am installing a grab bar in my bathroom. I got some toggle bolts at the hardware store, and they very clearly said that I needed a 1/2" hole. So I bought a 1/2" bit and drilled into the tile.turns out, the toggle bolts don't fit in the 1/2" hole. They're just a bit too big, and since it's tile, there's no give so it can't slide in. I went back to the hardware store and the guy told me, "they're a little bigger than the hole it says they can fit in because they're usually expecting you to use them in drywall and you can just punch through".So now... I don't know what to do. Looked at different toggle bolts and the next size down looked really tiny and flimsy. Is there a toggle bolt brand that has a 1/2" anchor that actually fits in a 1/2" hole? Or a different kind of 1/2" tile anchor, something better than toggle bolts? Or is there an easy way to expand the holes in the tile? Took me forever to drill them, so I can't imagine trying to do something like expanding them, but if that's my only option...and help would be appreciated, thanks! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2tY0duD
