I am an avid buyer of discounted meats/seafood from our local grocer, but I always have to pick and choose. I started looking at some small garage freezers, but I've heard they take up a lot of electricity. Would it be worth getting more half-priced proteins and paying for that kind of thing to run? Or would the cost even out in the end if I buy less and keep them in our house freezer?
I live in Northern California if that helps (yeah, HOT), and my husband has to work away from home at times, so having food ready for home and for away is really helpful.
