Hi!I had to replace a leaky shower and I have got the shower all installed but there is a 2 inch gap where we cut the space to install it.I have seen many people would cut out several more inches and then drywall patch to the shower. I am wondering If I could just put a 1x4 wood trim around it?The ceiling is short so I would have to rip the top trim piece to around 2.5 inch thickness. I was thinking I would just run those out 3.5 inches and butt against them at 90's, mitre the two top pieces in the corner. No messy awkward drywall work...Edit: I could only find examples of people drywalling all the way around the shower base. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2rVNh3u
