While this is kind of a niche item that I need to repair, I wanted to ask here because I'm open to any and all creative solutions to try and Macgyver a fix before resorting to buying new. Here's my current dilemma.A few notes:Explained in the plainest way possible, I'm trying to attach a vertical pole to a tube-shaped housing. Here's one of the the actual lights to show how they're broken, and here's another view of it.I don't mind if a fix looks like I very obviously had to construct a fix out of unrelated materials/did it myself. This is in my at-home studio, so my clients are already in a very laid back and relaxed environment. If this was gear for more major jobs, I'd just buy new or contact the company for new housing, but these are inexpensive lights meant for pretty casual use.I understand with any fix, I'm going to lose the mobility of swiveling the lights or tilting them up and down. That's fine. I just want to be able to readjust them to the poles so I can control the height of them.Just off the top of my head, I thought, "Hm, could I use metal pipe fasteners somehow?" but as I thought more about it I realized I'd still need some sort of vertical connection to the horizontal housing and scrapped that idea.Any ideas are welcome. I'm not opposed to buying new ones, but these lights technically still work like new. I'd hate to replace them when the lights themselves don't actually need replacing.Thank you! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2sDDvEN
