I'm sure it's different for every town, but check out your local blood bank and see if they have a rewards program. I've been donating on and off since 2008, and my blood banks have given me points to earn about $200 in movie tickets. They also have gear and gift cards. You also get access to some free snacks and juice, which isn't much, but it saved me more than once when I was too poor to afford much food.
Plus it's saving lives!
