We have bought a house and paid 15k stamp duty on it. We just found out about a rule that allows us to not pay stamp duty on buying a second house, on the condition that before 3 years having lived in that house, we sell off our old one.

We do not currently know the amount on stamp duty that we save if we were to buy the new house and sell off the old within 3 years.

We would like to know what the conditions of tax relief on stamp duty are in full as we are a bit confused with what to do at the moment and would like any other advice people could give us on saving money on buying a new house.
