I have a wall between my kitchen and living room that I am removing. My husband is away on business so I have to woman up and do this myself!I have a W truss roof that spans 26 feet, made of 2x4's connected with metal truss connector plates. The wall is approximately at the halfway point in the house. Below this wall is a completely open basement with no wall where the one above is. The Trusses run perpendicular to the wall. The truss has one nail going through it diagonally to connect it to the wallThere are some weird headers above the doorway that don't really do anything. It does have a double top plate though.Pictures of the wall are included in the link below. My neighbors house which is the same style removed his wall years ago and it was not load bearing.Because of the lack of wall for the basement below, W truss roof, non load bearing constructed wall, and neighbors house I am confident that this wall is not load bearing.Just wanted to make sure I am relatively sane.http://ift.tt/2pWT4K1 appreciated. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2roYH3j
