I feel like I am a pretty simple living person. I don't focus on materialistic possessions, I like to be frugal and save my money. I work two part time jobs both of which I enjoy and which contribute to my passion for inspiring people to connect with nature. However I also volunteer with a local nature club, some litter clean up groups, and bird monitoring groups. All of this stuff is important to me but I also have a long distance relationship where I often spend 4 hours a week travelling to see my SO.

I am starting to feel a bit burnt out and over-worked even though this is all stuff I love to do. I paid off my student loans last year and have lived at home basically my entire life (now 24). I am in the position to move out into a small place in the boonies, I think this will help me focus on what I want to do and get done rather than working around my family's lifestyle and schedule which doesn't really fit with mine. It also puts me in a better location to spend more time recreating outdoors.

I feel like things will get less stressful after this move but I am wondering if other people have been in this situation, having many commitments that are important to them - and ultimately do bring them happiness - but take up a lot of time and energy? How did you pare things down or turn away from commitments? Many of the things I volunteer for a run by seniors and I am the youngest person in the group I feel some sense of responsibility to learn as much as I can and be able to continue these efforts once these members are no longer around.
