My work is changing my work description. I like working here and want to continue doing so. I have been here a bit over a year. I work in tech, and they are merging the role of project manager and producer (which were previously handled by different departments) into a single department that handles both. -PMs talk to creatives, strategy, etc (all the planning and front-end people) -Producers talk to the Dev team and QA
I am adept at both tasks, it wont be difficult for me to take on the new responsibilities.
There are a lot of people in this merged department who are all going to be taking on these new roles (from both ends; PM and Producer). I want to make sure I ask for a raise properly when this merge happens, amongst all the other people who also might be asking for this.
What is the best way to navigate this?
