I just got offered a job as a sales associate for the Milwaukee Bucks for 24k a year plus commission. (They said a really good year is 40k with the record being 55k). I'll basically be cold calling for season tickets until I work my way up the corporate ladder. (They say it takes about a year). My dream job is to run the marketing dept for a sports team. I graduated school with a degree in Marketing and am looking to pursue my masters. I really want to work in sports and feel like this could be a good stepping stone into that business, but will I be able to live comfortably at 24k-ish a year until I get promoted? I don't think I'm in a horrible position financially, I just want to make sure this is an acceptable amount of money for the area, and for my skillset.
