So first, this is not in any way shape or form scientific evidence for what car is the most Bifl. I just wanted to see which brands has the most milage.
Second, this was done using a finnish carsite which has about 90% of the cars that is for sale in finland.(nettiauto.com)
Third, this is finland so there arent many US brands here. I believe the chevrolet and dodge diesels are known to have a lot of mileage.
So, at the moment there are 94300 cars for sale here. 425 cars of them are driven over 600000 km (373k miles). Mercedes: 159 Volkswagen:78 Volvo:66 Toyota:31
These are the top 4 brands with the most mileage,again this don't include chevys and dodges.
The Mercedes e200 (2,2 cdi engine) seem to be the most common with several cars having close to 800000 km on them.
The Volkswagen 2.4 and 2.5 diesel engine also has really high mileage, and they also make the dieselengine that is used in most of the volvos.
Toyota has the landcruiser,hilux and similar trucks that seem to have really good mileage!
There are of course other brands that have many miles but this is the top 4.
Another aspect is that there are different amounts for sale of each brand: Mercedes:9360 Toyota:7530 Vw:10610 Volvo:7290
In Finland the weather varies between -30 to +30 and much snow and rain and shit.
