So i currently have a light switch that operates an outlet. There is a ground wire running between the two, but it is not connected to anything. Non of the outlets appear to be grounded. I am trying to re-wire the system so that the outlet brings power to the switch and the switch turns on overhead recessed lights instead of giving power to top plug on the outlet. My question is, does it benefit or make a different if i connect the ground wires provided at the switch and each of the lights, or does it not matter unless the whole system is grounded? Any other thoughts?I appreciate any help you can give!Picture of what i am trying to do ( i know that the nuetral, hot, and ground will not go directly to the switch but have wire connectors, im just using the picture to demonstrate where the ground "Begins") http://ift.tt/2qgEzgm via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2oH8RM8
